Allison Zabel lives with her rescue dog, Cuda. She is a Customer Service Specialist at PIC. Her 10 years in the industry started when she was a student at Iowa State University. She was a member of the 2019 NPPA Leadership class and travel to Washington, D.C. with the Nebraska delegation to the National Pork Producers Council Legislative Action Conference. She likes to spend her free time playing slow-pitch and in the fall at Husker or Cyclone tailgates. Allison’s favorite pork dish is Bacon.

Austin, his wife Teri, and son live on a farm near Wymore. He is part of Zimmerman Hog Farms, located just west of Beatrice. The Zimmerman’s have a specialized pig operation, raising exhibition and breeding stock. Austin started showing pigs at a young age and is still very involved in the show pig industry. Austin is also the general manager for Midwest Livestock systems. His favorite pork dish is BBQ St. Louis style ribs.

Walt Traudt lives and farms just outside of Clay Center, Nebraska. He has been farming corn and soybeans since 1998 and in 2015 started contract finishing with The Maschhoff’s. He has learned a lot about the production of hogs and row crop farming over the last several years and now is honored to be given the opportunity to learn about the policies and programs that would help him be a better livestock producer and farmer.
