
Hunter Thomas

Hunter Thomas is a fourth-generation pig producer and Vice President of his family business, Thomas Livestock. He has worked part time within the company since 2011 and been full time since he graduated college from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with an Agribusiness degree and Ag-Economics minor in May of 2018. Hunter has worked in all parts of his family business which include breeding, farrowing, nursery, finish, feed mill, maintenance and office work. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with friends and family, hunting, golfing, going to the lake, and being involved within his community. Hunter have served on a Township board, a school board committee, he is currently on a local nonprofit board, The Custer County Foundation, and has participated in the House of Delegates for the U.S. SHIP Program. He married his wife, Faith, in October of 2018 and in 2020 they had their first child, Thea. He is excited to join the Nebraska Pork Producers Association Board and hopes he can bring value to local producers. his favorite pork dish is pork chunks. (chunks of tenderloin marinated in Italian dressing)
