Central Plains Milling (CPM) received the 2018 Outstanding Pork Service for Allied Membership at the awards luncheon held in conjunction with NPPA’s annual meeting February 13 at The Graduate in Lincoln. Russ Vering, CPM owner, accepted the award from NPPA President Darin Uhlir. The Outstanding Pork Service Awards recognize superior efforts done on behalf of Nebraska’s pork industry.

The company started as a partnership between The Vering Family of Howells and Frontier Cooperative of Brainard in 2007. CPM manufactures feed for swine, cattle and poultry, and has grown to two locations in Howells and Columbus, with 24 employees. The company has been an Allied Member of the NPPA since 2013.
